Gametime Basketball would like to introduce you to our coaches.

We are excited with the growth and development of our coaches over years. We have coaches that want to be here and look forward to getting better!  Our staff is here for the right reasons.
Our goal at Gametime is to maximize the enjoyment and potential of players in a competitive environment while building strong relationships in the community.

  • Leading scorer at Emerson HS with 1710 career points
  • St. Thomas Aquinas record holder for most points in a single game with 37 points
  • St. Thomas Aquinas free throw percentage record with 83.5% stat from the line.

Shannon Crooks

Coach Shannon Crooks is originally from Roxbury Massachusetts and was a The Sporting News Top 50 Boys high school player out of Everett High School in Everett Massachusetts.  He started his collegiate basketball career at St. John’s University playing with the likes of Ron Artest and Felipe Lopez.  After transferring to the University of Massachusetts, he finished his playing career with 1,117 points.  Professional basketball career span many countries such as Portugal, Germany, Serbia, and Angola where his team Petro Luanda where Angolan Basketball League Champions in 2006 & 2007 and 2007 FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup.

Kim Douglass is in her first season as a Gametime Hoops coach.  She is currently an Elementary Special Education teacher in Cliffside Park.  Kim created an 8-week Special Needs Basketball Clinic this year through Cliffside Park Recreation.  She is a coach for Kevin Boyle Basketball Camps in New Jersey from 2018-Current.  Kim has been a high school girls AAU teams in North Jersey for the past 6 years and also coached CYO boys’ and girls’ teams for St. Philips Prep School ranging from 3rd – 8thgrade for 5 years.  Kim played at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY and played High School basketball at Clifton High School as a four-year Varsity starter, receiving several MVP awards, All-tournament, All-League, and All-County Honors.  Kim is also a former AAU player for Jenny Jurjevic’s Gametime Cougars.
Kelly Douglass enters her second season as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Drew University.  A native of Clifton, NJ, Douglass arrived at Drew after her four year career at the University of Hartford where she was apart of the Hawks’ NCAA Division 1 basketball program.  She was captain her senior year.  She helped her team reach the American East Championship 2 years in a row and earned a birth in the WNIT.
